• Hilarious in Hindsight
  • This wouldn't be the last time that William Shatner tried his hand at doing something that Leonard Nimoy had already done, with the end result being derided for years to come (though unlike their directorial efforts, Nimoy's track record in this regard wasn't considered a whole lot better than Shatner's).
  • The titular song's focus on a man rejecting the evils of modern society and re-embracing a simpler lifestyle also prefigures the plot of Star Trek: Insurrection.
