• Fridge Horror: Exactly HOW many people were still left in the burning River Tower when the demolition charges collapsed it?
• Funny Moments: A couple of them in an otherwise terribly grim movie.
  • The probie firefighter's initiation. They make him take a shower before getting his gear, then ring the alarm bell in the middle of his shower, forcing him to run down, naked and soap-covered, to answer the "call."
  • The Christian faith group. They noisily pray at every turn, and their prayers are all answered!
  • "Your ass is too big!"
• Nightmare Fuel: The movie has loads of it, but special mention has to go to the elevator full of people that traps itself in the fire. Instead of opening, as in The Towering Inferno, it jams, cooking everyone in it alive.
