• Alternative Character Interpretation: Between the relationship of the prince and princess, which of them fell out of love with the other first?
  • Did the prince bring the princess back with the snake leaves because he wanted to be reunited with his lost love, or did he bring her back because he never considered the full consequences of agreeing to her request and didn't want to die next to her? To that end, did the princess fall out of love with him because she was changed by her journey into death, or did she suspect the prince only brought her back to save his own life?
