YMMV / The Sopranos S 6 E 21 Made In America

  • Hilarious in Hindsight: David Chase directed a Super Bowl Special for the 2022 game, where Jamie-Lynn Sigler recreates the iconic drive in an electric Chevy Silverado. Her last scene in the series is Meadow struggling mightily to parallel park, and in the commercial, she is able to effortlessly do so at a vacant EV charging station.
  • One-Scene Wonder:
    • The guy who says "Oh shit!" and does a penguin walk when he sees Phil getting his head crushed by his car became so renowned that viewers began to jokingly demand David Chase give him his own spin-off.
    • The unnamed patron in Holsten's in the final scene credited as "Man in Members Only Jacket" (or MOG to the fans). He may not have any lines, but the fans who do believe that Tony was killed in the final episode have this man to thank.
  • Signature Scene: The ending of the episode/show remains as one of the most well-known scenes in television, even to people who've never seen the series. It has since been heavily parodied and referenced in other media.
  • Tear Jerker: An understated one in the grim fallout surrounding Bobby's death. If his violent death wasn't cruel enough, the man's funeral is viewed only through the FBI's filter, and all the friends and acquaintances who attend its repast treat it more like a buffet. His now-fatherless children are left with Evil Matriarch-in-training Janice, and Sofia specifically is trapped in that arrangement no matter her personal wishes. Tony makes peace with his murderers and business goes on; that number Butchie says they'll come up with was all loyal Bobby's life was worth in the end. And to top it off, Junior can't even remember who he was, nor is he in any fit state to provide Bobby's children with the money Janice might otherwise pocket.
