• Catharsis Factor: In-Universe Trope. Homer is ecstatic that Marge is at fault after so many times he's being called out as an embarrassment to her.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Shawn and Barry, a presumably same-sex couple, ended up winning season 48 of The Amazing Place. A year later, The Amazing Race Australia would have Tim and Rod Sattler-Jones, a same-sex couple, winning the show, albeit in clean circumstances.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Homer and Marge competing on a game show could have made for an interesting episode by itself, but they're eliminated during the first challenge and the show is essentially forgotten in favor of yet another "marriage crisis" plot.
