• Strawman Has a Point: Though piracy of films is still wrong, Homer did genuinely try to watch them legitimately, but a combination of repeated spoilers (including them being Spoiled by the Merchandise of a fast-food place he went to to take his mind off of the movie's spoilers) and a bad experience at the cinema during which some rando brought a newborn baby there despite it being past 9PM made it very hard for him to do so. Despite his (quite understandable) complaints, people (including the aforementioned rando) dismiss him as "being negative", even though it's not hard to see why Homer feels the way he does.
