• Catharsis Factor: After Willie got away with framing Bart for sabotaging Springfield Elementary's medieval festival back in "The Father, the Son, and the Holy Guest Star," having him face comeuppance for nearly doing the same thing to Bart again here comes off as immensely satisfying.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Lisa sarcastically congratulates Bart on having completed the "legendary grand slam" of ruining Easter after ruining Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas: although we've seen him ruin the latter two holidays, in the show's one canon Halloween episode ("Halloween of Horror") a few seasons later, it's Lisa that ruins Halloween.
• Older Than They Think: The plot of this episode actually happened in the Batman comic, Whatever Happened to The Caped Crusader?, where an alternate continuity Alfred says that he paid actors to pretend to be supervillains and painted himself as The Joker in order to make Bruce think he could fight crime.
