YMMV / The Simpsons S22 E22: "The Ned-Liest Catch"

• Crosses the Line Twice: Edna, finally at wits end with Bart, slaps the 10 year old in front of the entire school. There is a brief stunned pause...before she slaps him even harder a second time out of catharsis.
  '*the faculty gasp in shock*
  Edna: *meekly* It was an open hand. Does that help?
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: The episode and the season ends on a Cliffhanger with Homer and Marge giving a link to www.thesimpsons.com and encouraging viewers to vote on whether Ned and Edna should stay together. Come the season 23 premiere "The Falcon And The Dohman", they do.
• Production-Related Period Piece: Lampshaded as Homer and Marge address the audience at the end to invite them to vote on the outcome of Ned and Edna's relationship. Realizing that the whole endeavor would not translate well years later, they add that those watching on DVD, reruns or some future media format are too late to vote.
• Squick: Dozens of spiders emerging from spider eggs and entering the mouth of a sleeping teacher. Yikes...
