YMMV / The Simpsons Pinball Party

Go To

  • Accidental Innuendo: The "N-Way Combo" (i.e. 3-Way, 5-Way).
  • Funny Moments: D'oh Frenzy makes every shot elicit a "D'oh!". In more frantic games, the mode lives up to its name.
  • Genius Bonus: One of Abe's voice clips has him say, "Back in my day, we didn't have flippers!" The earliest pinball machines didn't have them and looked very similar to their pachinko cousins. The flipper as we now know it premiered in Humpty Dumpty in 1947, a year that Abe could have definitely grown up in when The Simpsons Pinball Party was released in 2003.
  • Surprisingly Improved Sequel: The first pinball machine themed on The Simpsons is often considered a mediocre table, with rules that don't have much to do with the show, a sparse sound package, and a tendency to drain. The Simpsons Pinball Party, however, addresses all of those issues and is widely considered one of the greatest pinball machines of all time.
