YMMV / The Saga of Shirou's Summons

Go To

The Saga of Shirou's Summons contains examples of

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: As could be expected, this crops up all the time as the author uses several servants who are not often given much (or any) personality.
    • Kiara is given depth beyond being an evil sex-maniac.
    • Mysterious Heroine X is likewise developed beyond being a one-note character.
    • Julius Caesar is summoned in line with his historical counterpart rather than the overweight Fate Grand Order version.
  • The Scrappy: The reviewers really hate the story's version of Shirou because he is often portrayed as an ineffectual fool who sticks with Thou Shalt Not Kill too strongly no matter the circumstances and even objects to his comrades killing. The reviewers often accuse the author of making research errors because even in his naive phase, in the Fate route, Shirou was perfectly willing to kill Shinji to stop Blood Fort Andromeda from killing his classmates.
