- Nightmare Fuel: Quite a lot of it, naturally. Special mention has to go to what happens to Julia, Marit, and Kristian at the top of the skyscraper; anyone with a fear of heights will cringe. Kristian and Idun’s nerve-wracking trip through the elevator shaft is just as bad, especially given what happens to her leg, and then to her.
- No Antagonist: As with the first film, the real danger comes from nature.
- Squick: Idun and Kristian manage to avoid getting killed by a falling elevator, but it slices Idun’s leg all the way down to the bone. It’s horrifyingly nasty for a film that is otherwise not heavy on gore. Fortunately the poor woman is clearly in shock, though it’s obviously excruciating when she actually moves.
- Tearjerker: Idun’s death.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: The Scenery Gorn is very well-done.
