- Les Yay: Quite separate from the explicit bisexuality in "School Uniform", a few of their songs have this feeling.
- "Magician Man" spends the first half describing a woman in fond detail, and then transitions very suddenly into the narrator being asked out by a man— who gets no description at all. He doesn't seem very important, not compared to the girl doing the Charleston.
- "Judy" is a story about a girl making fast friends with a Bad Girl, and includes gems like "I know I'm not as hot as you" and "Mum always asks me where I've been when I'm with Judy".
- Narm Charm: A massive part of their appeal. Especially present in "Baby, Just Be Yourself", the closer to We Are The Pipettes.I can see that you're unhappy,
And it's getting you down
And that pretty face of yours looks bad
Wearing a frown.
