• So Okay, It's Average: While some viewers enjoyed the show as a campy Guilty Pleasure, general opinion held it to be cheap, silly and forgettable.
• WTH, Costuming Department?: In the first episode, a group of extras exemplify the show's low-budget feel. As the King is being declared dead at the opera house, we get a view of the stage from the box. What a great opportunity to show a bunch of actors looking up, their theatrical costumes and makeup both conforming to the specific setting and clashing interestingly with the more sober tragedy happening in the foreground! ...No? Too expensive? Stagehands it is, then.
