• Anvilicious: As per the norm for Seth MacFarlane, this episode lays anti-religious sentiments on pretty thick. Characters discuss how it just seems to be a natural process for sentient beings to become less religious as they grow more advanced technologically, and the Krill are an anomaly. And naturally that means the Krill are fanatical devotees of a genocidal Religion of Evil.
• Nightmare Fuel: The Krill on the ship (minus Teleya and her class) all burn to death due to the UV exposure. It is not pretty.
