• Captain Obvious Reveal: Because Walter and Fingerling were played by the same actor, it's not hard to guess they were the same person.
• Critical Backlash: The movie was critically panned, but some people found the movie still enjoyable despite its various flaws.
• Critical Dissonance: Despite really negative reviews, with a $30 million budget, the film did well at the box-office.
• Narm: Let's not kid ourselves — the plot really is silly when you think about how contrived the idea of everything adding up to 23 sounding so important and life-changing is.
• Paranoia Fuel: How well do you really know yourself? You might have committed terrible crimes in the past, and might still be capable of doing terrible things, and you don't even know it. Even if you're innocent yourself, how do you know for certain that your loved ones haven't done something terrible in the past?
• So Bad, It's Good: For a ridiculous premise, its hard not to make a few good laughs from a movie.
