• Cry for the Devil: Widget's past is a really tragic one.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: While the stories end on light notes, piling so much darkness and decay on the Rescue Rangers universe - while it made these stories quite popular at the time - hasn't allowed them to age very well. Nowak himself seems to have regretted it.
