  • The last wish of Tyrannia and Beelzebub not only heals the poisoned and half-frozen-to-death Maurizio and Jakob, but gets rid of Jakob's arthritis, gives him a full plumage more stunning than he ever had, and grants Maurizio a full coat of pure white and a glorious singing voice, like he always wanted. They proceed to compliment each other on their new strength health and looks.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Maledictus Maggot hated being called Mr. Larva. When the cartoon reached Brazilian audiences, he was renamed Maledictus Larva.
• Squick: Depending on how sensitive the reader is, drunken Beelzebub and Tyrannia acting lovey-dovey with each other can come out as this.
• Tear Jerker:
  • The scene where Jakob and Maurizio wander through the city, knowing they have to get help, knowing humans will just ignore them and the High Council cannot help in time, and knowing these may be the last hours of their lives.
  • Within that, we have Maurizio admitting that he is not, as he claimed, cat nobility from Naples, but a stray, born into a group of cats where nobody was ever sure of any kitten's parents so the females always took turns looking after them, and he was quite small to boot and has no singing voice whatsoever.
