  • Awesome Music: By most accounts, Electric Version.
  • Covered Up: "Failsafe" was a minor track off their 2007 album "Challengers". Later that year, it was covered by choir group "The Choir Practice" and said cover was eventually used in the Moral Orel episode, "Dumb", (released the following year) which bookended the episode and ended up eclipsing the original as a result.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: A rare example of this for a Canadian band, they’ve always had an easier time getting onto the American charts than the Canadian ones
  • Heartwarming Moments: "Go Places," especially knowing A.C. Newman wrote it for his wife (whom he had just married at the time), name-dropped her in the lyrics, and and gave it to Neko Case to sing.
  • Pop-Culture Isolation: Discussed during a live show for iTunes. The band was asked to learn "a rock and roll classic" for French television, only to find that the audience didn't recognize their choice, "Don't Bring Me Down".
  • Tear Jerker: "Failsafe." Especially after hearing its usage in Moral Orel.
    • Also "Adventures in Solitude," which may also be a Heartwarming Moment depending on one's interpretation of the lyrics.
    • "My Rights Versus Yours" is about a divorce, and the mid-'60s Brian Wilson sound evokes a wistful mood. Hell, nearly all of Challengers is a Tear Jerker in one way or another.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Dan Bejar sounds quite feminine in certain songs, primarily "Myriad Harbour" and "Jackie, Dressed in Cobras," to the point where some YouTube comments have assumed it's Neko or Kathryn singing.
