• Awesome Music: "Zvezda po imeni Solntse" (Star Called Sun) at the beginning and "Gruppa krovi" (Blood Type) at the end. Two of Tsoi's most iconic songs. Star Called Sun was actually originally written for the film.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The moments with Moro and Dina at the Aral Sea (with it still somewhat being alive) become this considering the Soviet's irrigation system ended up causing the once thriving sea into a desert, being labeled as one of the worst environmental disasters in history.
• He Really Can Act: Peter Mamonov as Artur.
• Just Here for Godzilla: A lot of viewers at the time only really came to see Viktor Tsoi. It was supposed to be his big breakthrough role in film, the first time where he doesn't star as himself. Sadly, that career abruptly ended before it could really get going...
