- Viewer Gender Confusion: The ghoul-human hybrid is at no point said to be of any gender and is consistently referred to as "it". However, the hybrid is sometimes mistaken for male because of the line "That's why we must guard him closely tonight, Mr. Chaldane," which refers to keeping vigil for John Tremoth, not keeping the hybrid locked up.
