• Narm: The illustrations of the titular monster are a bit... goofy looking, especially with its weird, bug-eyed facial expressions.
• Nightmare Fuel: The premise of a bizarre, prehistoric monster suddenly appearing is creepy enough, but the story delves deep into existential horror when Framingham's brain is transplanted into said monster. After the initial Hope Spot of Framingham slowly regaining his mental faculties in the monster's body, his humanity slowly deteriorates until he fully degenerates into a mindless beast, killing McLennegan and shortly afterward being killed by a military captain. When said captain discovered the beast that used to be Framingham, he notes that it laughed as it devoured its victim and the sight was so horrifying that several of his men insisted that the beast must've been the Devil himself.
