Is it possible for someone like Sauron to actually feel anything approaching love? For the record, both Charlie Vickers and Morfydd Clark favour the notion that the offer was a form of manipulation rather than an indication of genuine affection.
  • Back in Episode 6, how sincere were his words to Galadriel that fighting alongside her gave a feeling of redemption for his dark past? Or was he just trying to bait her into wrongly thinking she could change him?
• Catharsis Factor: Sauron's acolytes are cruel and sinister, so the sight of one getting beaned in the head by a harfoot is a welcome relief.
