  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Even for a show that regularly dabbles with Wabbit series status, the finale of the summer 2023 season takes the cake. To sum up: Adam ends up officiating a wedding ceremony between TV host Rylan and a gimp (wearing a full gimp suit with a bridal veil), with Hunter from Gladiators (also wearing a more revealing gimp suit) acting as father of the 'bride' and Zippy as best man. Absolutely no one could keep a straight face, least of all Rylan, and the whole thing descended into chaos when Zippy forgot all of his linesnote .
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Mike the Cameraman, one of the show's cameramen, who became a social-media darling after a photo of him was used as a gag to show that not many people knew who was in the running for Tory leadership in 2019.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: While this begins in a very dark place, the first episode following the 2019 Christchurch massacre featured Adam and Alex briefly touching on Australian senator Fraser Anning's comments about the victims. Elsewhere in the episode, Alex's views on Egging were brought up (in the context of it recently happening to Jeremy Corbyn), stating that it wasn't sporting to walk up to someone and egg them directly, and that it should be done from a distance, ideally a car. By the time the episode aired in Australia, Anning had been egged in retaliation for his comments, by a teenage boy who walked up to him in the middle of a press conference. The subject wasn't brought up the following week (possibly because Adam had caught some flak for mentioning on Twitter that he doesn't approve of egging regardless of who the target is, which may push this into (even) Harsher in Hindsight instead), so Alex's position wasn't made clear.
  • Ho Yay: Alex and Josh, Played for Laughs. Amongst other things, they've kissed on screen and been shown in bed together twice (once as part of a parody of an ad by the Australian Sex Party, once as part of the same sketch in which they kissed).
  • Nightmare Fuel: Episode 3 of series 21, in which the studio is possessed by a ghost a la Ghostwatch (which Josh and Alex had convinced Adam to watch the week before). First a light blows out, then when guests Sara Pascoe and Phil Wang are walking out you can see some kind of ghoul behind them, then the screen glitches, and then at the end every light goes out and Adam appears to become possessed. Adam revealed the next week that it was all him pranking Alex and Josh, but that didn't make it any less terrifying.
