• Awesome Art: The game looks absolutely amazing with the pixel art. The characters and creatures in particular are absolutely stunning with little details one may not notice at a glance.
• Awesome Bosses:
  • Edwyn the Starscourge Horror, is a giant bat-like dragon that looks the part for the a cosmic horror monster. It having an exoskeleton while being covered in fur gives it an uncomfortable appearance. Edwyn being the first large monster fight has grand sweeping moves, tough but fair fireball patterns, and cool sound design. This makes Edwyn one of the most memorable monsters in the game.
  • Nyxaroth the Eldritch Wight, as the name implies, is powerful eldritch horror that resides in the catacombs. Looking like an emaciated Cthulhu with no wings but still retaining immense power. Going invisible, summoning zombie like beings, calling down comets, and causing lightning strikes when attacking. Most fans consider this to be one of the best bosses simply due to the sheer badassery it exudes.
  • The Harbinger of Nightmare, mainly a multi headed hydra stands out for many because of how unique it is in terms of design. It does offer a few unique mechanics but you will often find people enjoying the visual aspects of the monster.
• Complacent Gaming Syndrome:
  • Honestly you can usually find everyone going with the brawler starting class due to it being the only viable option for the early game. Good health and strength with a few points in the others is fine especially once you get used to your weapon and scaling. Most people will tell newcomers to stick with the brawler class.
  • Etheral Great Blade and the Blood Rift Katana are the big ones for weapons. Etheral being the obligatory strength weapon and being surprisingly fast with its swings. While Blood Rift is faster and has an area of effect that wipes out groups of enemies.
• Nightmare Fuel: Due to the obvious Bloodborne inspired design, many of the bosses are just as terrifying as the 3D monster in said game. Various monster monsters have grotesque oddities in or on their bodies and the proportions being all wrong. Special mention goes to Manfred the Accused for his gangly and emaciated appearance.
