• Nightmare Fuel:
  • At one point in the film, the Man-Eating Plant manages to catch and eat the cute little mammal the heroes had discovered. As ridiculous as the puppet used for the little mammal looked. It was still a bit disturbing to see watch as it got, "swallowed" up by the ravenous plant.
  • Hunter's attempt's at forcing himself on Maggie, are no less creepy
  • There's also Hunter’s description of just how horrifying the valley is in the Antarctic winter. Due to the dense cloud cover, not even moonlight or starlight can get through, leaving a pitch-black land full of Prehistoric Monsters for months on end.
