YMMV / The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer

Go To

  • Complete Monster: The Underminer himself is a far more evil version of the character in this alternate sequel. Dedicated to destroying all "peace and happiness" on Earth, the Underminer invades the city with his destructive drills and drones, threatening to level many buildings. The Underminer's true plan is to wipe out the entire surface of Earth and decimate humanity by throwing the Earth off its axis; poisoning the planet's water; and then subjugating whatever humans survive to be his slaves. In his scheme to achieve this, the Underminer kidnaps and forces dozens of scientists of help him, and tries to murder Mr. Incredible and Frozone to destroy humanity's hope and then use the heroes' bodies as decorations for his throne.
  • Contested Sequel: Since the release of Incredibles 2, some fans think of it as a better sequel while some preferred the canon sequel, particularly over how they handled the Underminer and the possibility he could return if the ending credits of his drill showing up is any indication.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The majority of the game is Mr. Incredible and Frozone fighting their way through the Underminer's forces, with the rest of the Incredibles disappearing from the plot which they fight against the Underminer's drills off-screen, the family is only seen at the beginning and the end, this upset many fans of Elastigirl, Violet and Dash who were hoping for them to be playable as it would have improved the gameplay a bit by having more unique characters.
