- Ending Fatigue: The game had a rather quick pace to begin with, but the moment the final battle against the Tyranids rolled around, the game slowed to a crawl. This was thanks to a number of factors, the most prominent being the extreme difficulty of damaging the Tyranid Elite.
- Les Yay: Between Mokou and Kaguya. As expected. There is also implied Kaguya/Eirin and Mokou/Kiene.
- Memetic Badass : A large number of characters are inspired by, or directly taken from, Warhammer 40,000 memes on /tg/ (examples include the Angry Marines, Kharn the Betrayer as a 'pretty cool guy', and Indrick 'SPEHSS MEHREENS' Boreale).
