- Accidental Innuendo: Let's just say that the various lines about hugs make for a lot of these. In a non-hug related example, Huggins at one point claims she'll "savoir faire [Andrew] until he's putty in [her] hands!"
- Ham and Cheese: Aarika Wells is clearly having fun Chewing the Scenery as Queen Admira.
- Harsher in Hindsight: It's painful to watch Carl Steven in his role as Andrew, Bridget's brother, knowing he would die in prison in 2011.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Bridget turns her breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes and pancakes into a makeshift sandwich. In 2003, McDonald's introduced a similar concept with pancakes, the McGriddle.
- Nightmare Fuel: The Hugga Bunch is infamous for the amount of nightmares it gave the target audience. The premise involves the thought of your only kind, parental figure having to move out and eventually die due to old age. Once the protagonists get to Hugga Land they meet the Hairy Behemoth, a four tusked woolly mammoth with red glowing eyes and a trunk that can spout flames, and the Shrugs, green troll-like creatures who look like human-sized elephant-like frogs. Queen Admira soon turns Bridget into a statue for mocking her, and Admira's subsequent death is also terrifying, as she undergoes Rapid Aging, turns ashen, and dies when she's unable to reach her Youngberries.
