• Ho Yay: In "The Town Musicians of Bremen", Cat is enamored with Donkey because she likes strong people. Donkey is also protective of Cat when one of the Wade brothers attempts to sexually harass Cat.
• Just Here for Godzilla: Fans only came for the show mostly to see CLAMP taking care of character designs once more.
• Magnificent Bastard':
  • "Little Red Riding Hood": Scarlet is a mysterious woman hungry for blood. Working as Little Red Riding Hood, Scarlet uses her charm to lure sadistic men into a false sense of security before killing them. When paired with Grey as his prey, Scarlet uses a Wounded Gazelle Gambit to lure him into the open and charm him into letting his guard down, before drugging and killing him.
  • "Hansel and Gretel": The Old Woman is the mysterious, charming leader of the Orphanage. She manipulates the children of the orphanage into becoming independent through tests and her robotic helpers Mama and Papa. She is even fine with Mama being critically injured to help provide the children with a test to prove their willpower and allow them to survive on their own. Her giving the children a choice to forgot all they have learned and return to the the orphanage or choose to the world even if it's emotionally painful. Ultimately, though she inflicts emotional pain on them, she has the children's best intentions at heart.
• Older Than They Think: This isn't the first time CLAMP had a Grimmification take on fairy tales. Miyukichan In Wonderland is one of their early works which is an erotic lesbian rendition of Alice in Wonderland.
