YMMV / The Goat Musician

• Genius Bonus: Probably not to Russians who most likely know the tune the goat used for his theme, but foreign viewers need to be of course aware of the tune's origin and the song's lyrics to understand why the audience reacted the way they did.
• Moe: The short's rather Disneyesque style lends the goat musician some bit of cuteness, particularly his round eyes. Even when he's mad, he looks cute.
• Nightmare Fuel: The ending in general when the piano version of Zhil-byl u babushki seren'kiy kozlik is heard again after the wolf takes the goat to the dark forest. Two hedgehogs heavily imply that he was devoured.
  First hedgehog: [quoting the song's final lyrics] Left of the goat were horns and hooves.
  Second hedgehog: Indeed, indeed, horns and hooves.
  • The overall vibe of the goat's Uncertain Doom. Not knowing whether he really is dead or alive can be more unnerving.
