• Magnificent Bastard: Jang Dong-soo is an affable, ruthless gangster who runs an efficient rigged gambling ring that he has used for years to get rich. After being attacked by the serial killer Kyung-ho, Dong-soo begins working with rival cop Tae-suk to track down the vicious murderer and bring him to justice as payback for the assault, with Dong-soo recording his interactions with Tae-suk so as to ensure the cop can't betray him at a later date. Using his vast network to hunt down evidence and eventually Kyung-ho himself, Dong-soo, utterly disgusted with Kyung-ho after he killed a young girl Dong-soo had treated nicely hours earlier, decides to take justice into his own hands and attempts to murder Kyung-ho. Even after Tae-suk stops the murder, Dong-soo turns himself in just so he can testify against Kyung-ho and get them both locked in the same prison, where Dong-soo cheerfully corners Kyung-ho with plans to make him pay for all the suffering he's caused.
