- Broken Base: Some fans think the overly long opening credits extremely tedious and that the show should get to the review portion ASAP. Others feel that the Info Dump is necessary for newcomers to understand the premise of the show without watching all the episodes in order. (How else would you explain why an internet reviewer is in a time-travelling jet and can easily walk onto the set of various game shows?)
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In the first episode, GSR says he would prefer Legends of the Hidden Temple not getting a reboot/update. In 2021, a reboot with adult contestants aired on The CW.
- Padding: Each episode begins with both a cold opening (usually a "Previously on…" segment) and an opening credits sequence that provides an Info Dump about the premise of the show. To put this into perspective, it takes almost 4 minutes for GSR to actually start discussing the review subject in the very first episode!
- Visual Effects of Awesome: Yes, it's obvious that the show takes place on a green-screen with a bunch of CGI backgrounds and models, but each of them are rather well-made, especially considering they're made by just one guy!
