• Alas, Poor Scrappy: Even if Ralph was extremely polarizing, the Thinker taking his body warranted sympathy even from his detractors. He didn't fight or yell, he just calmly accepted his fate, knowing he died a good man.
• Badass Decay: A Samuroid, which was strong enough to overpower both Cisco and Wally in the Season premiere, is now destroyed by Joe. Off-screen.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: After all of Barry's sermonizing about how the heroes should never, ever kill people, the season finale of Black Lightning that immediately followed this episode (from the same production crew, even) features the season's Big Bad being unceremoniously gunned down and none of the heroes caring at all.
• Like You Would Really Do It: While Ralph does really appear to be gone, a comment from Word of God much earlier in the season that they would eventually introduce Ralph's love interest Sue at some point suggests he may ultimately survive the season yet. Also it is pretty doubtful Caitlin will be depowered permanently, especially when another ice-themed character would assist Team Flash the next episode.
