• Esoteric Happy Ending: Dave is now able to enjoy the limitless freedoms of...Communist China. Hope he knows enough Mandarin or Cantonese to explain his unlikely situation in a believable fashion.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: As noted by IGN's review, this episode initially aired the same day the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp came out, which also deals with the sci-fi concept of size-shifting. Most notably, the first time we see Dwarfstar's shrinking powers in this episode are when he shrinks an entire office building down to a small object, a similar idea of which is one of the most notable scenes in the aforementioned trailer.
• Narm: Cisco and Ralph's voices are pitched up while they're shrunk, making them sound like teenagers. This is especially jarring since Ray's voice remains the same when he's shrunk. However, due to the humorous scenes of the episode, it can fall into Narm Charm.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Granted, it took Cecile a while to get control of her telepathy, but even then she never once considers that reading someone's mind is an invasion of privacy and acts completely confused at why Joe wouldn't like it.
