• Adorkable: Akechi, oh so very much. His cheesy, hammy lines, gaudy Metaverse outfit, overeager personality and him being the reason the protagonists are named the Phantom Heroes in this AU all combine to make one adorably dorky character.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The original plan for the fanfic involved Hifumi jointing under the code name Wolf. A few years later, a Wolf actually would become part of the Phantom Thieves.
• Ho Yay: Quite a bit exists between Akira and Akechi, mainly from the latter's end. Akira even lampshades it.
  Akira: We can talk about your weird obsession with me later! We've got to move!
• Moral Event Horizon: Makoto crosses it when she all but declares her intent to rape Akira as her 'birthday present'. It is at this point when she loses any moral high ground she could claim over Kamoshida, and likely would have been truly Beyond Redemption if not for her meeting her Shadow.
• Shocking Moments:
  • Chapter 20: Akira, in his attempt to stop Makoto from going to get Kawakami fired, has no choice but to bring her into the Metaverse; specifically, her own Palace.
  • Chapter 21: Akechi getting impaled by Shadow Makoto.
  • Also in Chapter 21, and as a direct consequence of the above, Makoto is driven to deny her Shadow, causing it to transform a la Persona 4.
    Makoto: This isn’t real! None of this is real! This city isn’t real! This room isn’t real! And that's not me!
