YMMV / The Eichmann Show

Go To

  • Heartwarming Moments: Leo's grouchy landlady talking to him when he feels as if he's failed (he was trying to find the humanity in the mass murderer,) and telling him that for the first time previously incredulous people are actually listening to the survivors' stories and believing them, because his work is confronting people with the facts.
  • Moment of Awesome: Prosecutor Hausner's cross-examination of Eichmann. Everyone has eagerly anticipated it, and the man does not disappoint.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The footage from the Holocaust is just as horrifying now as it has ever been. Eichmann's apparent indifference to it also counts for what it says about him.
  • The Woobie: All the Holocaust survivors, but Jakov the cameraman stands out; despite his best efforts to stay composed he collapses under the strain of hearing other witnesses testify and the rest of the crew are too worried about his health to let him resume the job, and have to reassure him that he's not letting them down.
