- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The film has quite a few of these due to its choppy editing, with one especially egregious one being a scene where Dana watches... herself in what appears to be a bathroom mirror, which is never brought up again.
- Cliché Storm: The film uses a lot of horror clichés, including scares involving a person simply standing behind someone else with a Scare Chord playing, and more.
- Nightmare Fuel: Dana bashing in the ghost of the judge's head with a hammer is quite graphic, with blood splattering everywhere, and she keeps going at it until David stops her. It's one of the few truly scary moments in the entire film.
