- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The bongo players. Given a special credit in the opening, but they have zero interaction with the plot.
- Development Hell: The print, shot in 1957, didn't see the light of day til 1993. It was discovered by Sinister Cinema at the old offices of Headliner Productions. Sinister bought the rights to sell it on video in 1993, and then it was popularized by Mystery Science Theater 3000.

- Aldo Farnese hosted a popular kid's show in Philadelphia playing a guy floating around in space with puppet friends, "Adam Android".
- Gil Martin was and is the head of Miami PD's CSI division, and even narrated an episode of the forensic documentary show The First 48.
- The premise of contacting the dead in order to help catch their murderer is a major game mechanic as well as Deconstructed in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
- Tearjerker: Aldo Farnese passed away two days before the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode aired.
