• Alternative Character Interpretation: Masami grows a face in her neck which overcomes her when she's asleep and can't control herself, violently expressing the powerful inner feelings she represses. The question is, what are these feelings? Is she jealous of Rima's looks and so wants to absorb them for herself with her statements about wanting to see Rima die an expression of that jealousy? Or is she attracted to Rima and wants possess her instead, with her statements about wanting Rima to die being resentment at not being hers/sparking these feelings?
