• Captain Obvious Reveal: It's clear to the reader but takes a few chapters for Dean and Bela to find that Castiel was who got them out of Hell.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The author himself acknowledges how his idea of bringing Deanna Campbell (the Winchesters' maternal grandmother) out of the past and into the present seemed cool...and then the actual Supernatural series did almost the exact same thing with her daughter.
