• Anti-Climax Boss: In the first two books, the final showdown with the demons' champion is a long, dangerous battle. In the third book, the demons' final champion was one of the most powerful witches alive even before being blessed, he's been grabbing every power he could get to along the way while pursuing the Chosen Ones, and it's stressed that his blessing is the strongest one ever. Minoo eats his soul in a single gulp.
• Fridge Brilliance: Out of the seven Chosen Ones, Minoo is the only one who has no particular defects beyond some social awkwardness. The protectors created her. Of course her only flaw is having trouble interacting with more normal, dysfunctional people.
• Funny Moments: It kind of doubles as a Tear Jerker, but at the end of The Key, as Ida's spirit is fading away, she worries that she'll go to Hell - or even worse, go to some boring-ass Heaven - or even worse, be reborn as some gross little animal, ew! Ida, you were one of a kind.
• Moment of Awesome: In The Key, Anna-Karin, who had been kidnapped by Alexander temporarily, jumps out of a car going 110 km/h, throws Alexander around, steals his car and drives to the courthouse where Erik Forslund and his friends are currently on trial for their attempt on Linnéa's life, and forces Erik to confess/gloat about how he tried to kill Linnéa. Afterwards, she makes him realise that he confessed, and she makes him realise that **she**, "the BO Ho", made him do that. And threatens to do much worse to him if he ever hurts Linnéa or anyone else again.
• Tear Jerker: Rebecka's death.
  • In Fire, Ida's death. She dies in Gustaf's arms while he tries to resuscitate her, believing that he's kissing her. Later, she watches her own funeral as a ghost trapped between worlds.
