• One-Scene Wonder: The Tate Riley cheerleader (officially named Rachel, played by Keara Graves) who breaks away from one of the squad's personal appearances during the prologue to visit her sugar daddy for an erotic escapade, doesn't figure into the rest of movie at all.
• Relationship Writing Fumble: We're supposed to be repulsed by the Cassie/Terry relationship, but they actually have a fair amount of romantic chemistry, with timid Cassie getting some help from Terry to break out of her shell, and Terry perhaps appreciating a cheer girl who seems humble and not shallow. Age gap aside, it almost makes you wish Terry would have a Heel–Face Turn so they could become an Official Couple.
• Spiritual Successor: The 2020 Lifetime movie Sorority Secrets has almost the exact same storyline, right down to a heroine named Cassie and a colleague named Monica who leaves the group, only Cassie joins a sorority that doubles as an escort service, rather than a cheer squad.
