YMMV / The Case of the Ghost Biker

• Captain Obvious Reveal: Dr. Eggman as the Ghost Biker was a rather predictable twist, thanks to an earlier scene with Eggman referring to himself as the Egg Ghost despite seemingly being on vacation, complete with the ghost decal on his bike, and the Ghost Biker himself seeming to recognize Sonic very well.
• Funny Moments:
  • Chapter 3 provides this exchange as Sonic and Amy check into the hotel at Resort Town.
    Receptionist: I never thought I’d be seeing the day that world famous Sonic the Hedgehog would be walking in with a girlfriend. This motel couldn’t be more honored by the arrival of a well-known world hero, correct me if I’m wrong, but did you race the fastest man alive known as The Flash once?
    Amy: Now where did you hear that, Sonic would never race someone as fast as The Flash. Isn’t that right, Sonic?
    Sonic: (sheepishly) yeah, never race The Flash unless you wanna lose your dignity.
    (Right on cue, The Flash enters and zooms up to the front desk)
    The Flash: Did somebody say something about me racing Sonic The Hedgehog?
    Sonic: It’s nothing, Mr. Flash. Doesn’t concern you.
    Receptionist: Yes, don’t worry, sir.
    The Flash: Alrighty then... See ya, fellow speedster, Flash out.
  • In Chapter 4, Sonic’s speed boost causes a car to swerve and crash into another car, resulting in car alarms going off, the man screaming angrily, and a cat yowling.
  • Amy’s not amused when Sticks flirts with Sonic in Chapter 6.
    Amy: Oh great. The mayor’s flirting with Sonic.
  • As soon as Mystery Inc. comes face-to-face with the Ghost Biker, Fred makes a Badass Boast... which Velma is quick to point out that the Ghost Biker probably isn’t going to want to stand around and listen to.
  • Sonic’s snark and sass continues to shine as our heroes are fighting the Ghost Biker for the first time.
    Sonic: This isn’t the wild west, pal, and you’re not a cowboy!
    Ghost Biker: Hedgehog...
    Sonic: Huh, never expected you to talk and know me so well.
  • All the commotion in the first fight with the Ghost Biker is causing an inconvenience for Poison Ivy...
    Poison Ivy: Can you keep that down? I’m trying to look after my sunflowers!
    Sonic: Sorry, Poison Ivy!
    Shaggy: Yeah, like, sorry!
  • A later chapter has Ivy tending to her sunflowers, only to get distracted by loud noises again.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • Sonic and Amy being boyfriend and girlfriend in this story allows for some very romantic moments between the two. Before running into Mystery Inc., the story focuses on their loving dates, and even after, you can still tell they work fantastically well as a couple.
  • Same goes for Fred and Daphne. Once they’re checked into Room 69, they have a moment together before the Sexy Discretion Shot.
  • Mystery Inc. and Amy reassuring Sonic that they'll catch the Ghost Biker in Chapter 12.
  • After the Ghost Biker is revealed to be Dr. Eggman, he explains that he planned to rob the bank to pay off the landowner's association so Eggmanland wouldn't shut down. You would expect Sonic to admonish his old enemy for such a poor excuse and kick his butt like normal. Instead, he gives Dr. Eggman a check to potentially help him keep his theme park, believing it to be safe. Eggman is genuinely grateful for this generosity.
