• Game-Breaker: The Printer has the unique effect of "printing" the player's active item effect on the card the player is currently holding and has selected. A card can be printed on an unlimited amount of effects, and any other instance of that will remember them, not just the specific card the player has at the moment of the active item's activation. • Growing the Beard: Although it was a quite popular mod from its initial release, Epiphany only really started to become a major mod in the community after the release of its second wave of characters, featuring more enjoyable and in depth mechanics, as well as proof that they were really going to make 17 different Tarnished characters.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: The original Tainted Eden suffered from unreliability of their mechanics. Tarnished Eden is widely considered to be a refined and much more fun to play version of these mechanics.
