YMMV / The Bedfellows

  • Adorkable:
    • Fatigue. He's a bizarre, flamboyant Jackalope who is extremely sweet and friendly, and constantly has an adorable smile on his face.
    • The same goes for his friend Gary, who is INCREDIBLY easy to spook.
  • Awesome Art: After the Art Evolution takes place, the characters become AMAZINGLY expressive, which manages to be just plain awesome to watch in spite of being such a minute detail, considering that most flash series tend to have stiff, inexpressive animation.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: The creators are awfully fond of rape and abuse jokes. One example that stands out would be "Rap Song", where Sheen raps about it being illegal for him to rap, but keeps mentioning "rap" in contexts that would make considerably more sense if the word ended with a silent E and only had one P in its present participle, making it very obvious what he's really rapping about. The chef's kiss of this grim yet hilarious premise is the video concluding with Sheen in prison as his lizard cellmate turns off the lights and informs Sheen that he'll be the victim of his next "rap" song.
  • Funny Moments:
    • "Mothers Day" ends with the message "Happy Mothers Day (even if she is a whore)".
    • The montage in "YOLO" of Sheen doing insanely destructive or idiotic things while shouting "YOLO", like flashing everyone at a graduation ceremony, participating in a hot dog eating contest while holding a trophy labeled "# 1 Fat P.O.S." (then promptly throwing up) and pissing on a cop car while drunk (which immediately lands him in prison).
    • The ridiculously petty reasons Sheen gives for pressing the Dislike button on the videos he watches in "Dislike", such as stating that Fatigue isn't a girl, no one being badly injured, being created by furries and not having enough explosions.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Sheen. He might be a cantankerous asshole who mistreats everyone around him, but the 20th episode, "Parents" all but states that he had a godawful childhood as his parents publicly jeered him in front of the audience during a school play, and it's shown that he genuinely has the potential to be a good person in "Dinner", as he actually apologizes for his racist, abrasive mother's behavior to a waitress, and is clearly as disgusted by her racist behavior towards lizards as well, and if "Drinking" is to be taken seriously, deep down inside, he genuinely loves Fatigue, given that him being drunk causes him to become friendly and pleasant towards him, and given that he has absolutely no control over himself due to being absolutely piss-drunk, it's possible that his true and genuine self is an incredibly sweet and pleasant person.
  • Moe: Fatigue. He already has a cute design with his large eyes and constant Playful Cat Smile, but his cheerful Cloud Cuckoolander personality and highly effeminate tastes make him even more endearing.
  • Nausea Fuel: The end of "Dinner" where Sheen's mother eats saliva-covered salad without realizing it, with a nice, long shot of it dripping from her mouth to drive it home.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: There are people who find the show's style of comedy difficult to put up with due to a lot of it revolving around Sheen both physically and sexually abusing Fatigue.
  • The Woobie: Poor, poor Fatigue. He gets treated like crap by Sheen, and on occasion is even raped by him.
