YMMV / The Batman S 4 E 3 Clayfaces

• Character Rerailment: After having been presented as an unrepentant thief taking advantage of his shapeshifting abilities to impersonate a local legend in his last appearance, Ethan Bennet/Clayface returns to his previous Anti-Villain characterization in this episode.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: Ethan wishes to return to the Gotham City Police Department, making it clear to Basil Karlo that he always will be a cop. Not only does he get permanently cured of being Clayface at the end of this episode, "Artifacts" reveal that he gets his wish to return to the GCPD and, even more so, becomes the new chief.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The absence of Ellen Yin in the episode. Considering that she was Ethan's partner and closet friend besides Bruce, it would've made sense for her to appear by, like Bruce/Batman, being distrustful of Ethan until he shows his Heel–Face Turn is genuine. Also like Bruce/Batman, she would've been glad to see him back on the side of good and be cured of being Clayface.
