- Badass Decay: The Ascension were the longest reigning tag team champions in the history of WWE NXT. When they got to the main roster, they were buried so hard that Viktor briefly joining the Social Outcasts was considered a promotion.
- For scale: in NXT, Finn Balor and Hideo Itami had trouble taking them out.
- They got jobbed out to old school stars, then made the muscle for Stardust aka Cody Rhodes (who quit WWE not long after), and will probably spend their time jobbing until they get released.
- The Ascension may well be the epitome of Badass Decay in WWE: after being a devastating, dominating force in NXT, their stint on the main roster has been so abysmally booked that it can't be anything other than intentional sabotage, far beyond anything that mere incompetence or laziness could account for.
