- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The series became an instant smash hit in the UK, so much so many probably didn't realise it wasn't a UK production (its actually Australian with a mix of British and Australian actors). While well received generally, the UK fanbase were quick to campaign for a second season, despite it being intended as just a miniseries.
