• Informed Wrongness: Octavia is distrustful of Echo, and wants to uphold the banishment she enacted before Praimfaya. Bellamy won't stand for this, because he and Echo are romantically involved, and because he's seen her Character Development on the Ring. He points out to Octavia that Echo is Not So Different from any of them, as they've all done things to save their people that are morally reprehensible. Octavia's adamant protests are supposed to be seen as part of her fanaticism, but Bellamy has done quite a bit of ret-conning himself. Unlike the actions of Skaikru, which were largely motivated by saving individual people they cared about, Echo's motivation in season 4 is helping Azgeda gain political power, including attempting to kill Octavia and helping Roan cheat during the Conclave. Echo Took a Level in Kindness in the past six years, but Bellamy insinuating that Octavia is being petty for holding a grudge against a woman who stabbed her and threw her off a cliff seems misplaced.
