Fans did not respond well to Bellamy's decision to side with Pike and participate in a massacre feeling it was Out of Character for him because of the Character Development he went through in the last season or that there wasn't enough build up for his decision because by all appearances he did it just because his girlfriend died and one grounder betrayed him feeling this change of character was rushed and unjustified given that he was only with Gina for three months and kept his cool about Grounders during that time. But other fans feel that his change of character makes sense given the fact that he hasn't had many positive experiences with grounders which would make him not trusting any them make since and others blame it on his emotional state that made him vulnerable to Pike's suggestions and he also had those feelings towards them in the first season and it would make sense that those feelings didn't 100 percent go away.
Intended Audience Reaction: The producers have stated that they attended for the audience to be confused by Bellamy's decision to side with Pike.
Moment of Awesome: Lexa vs. Roan because of the fact it was the first time on the show that Lexa gets to fight.
Shout-Out: To Game of Thrones: The episode title and the fight between Roan and Lexa has similarities to the Trial by Combat fight between Oberyn Martell "The Red Viper" and The Mountain.
